I am Pascale Chazan, conscious coach and mother of four free spirited girls. Originally from Montreal, Canada, today I live in Israel with my husband Tomer, our daughters, and our cats. We unschool and worldschool our children and are committed to living a simple, authentic, spiritual and meaningful life.
Alaska native Unangan messenger Larry Merculieff, in his speech called Native Knowing, said that we live in a society that has “ reversed the laws for living… the heart used to tell the mind what to do, and now the mind tells the heart what to do… ” This describes my deepest feelings about mainstream society: it conditions us to engage in a lifestyle that serves its own agenda, and which is, more often than not, detrimental to our personal wellbeing.
We were all born connected to our inner knowing and mission. Throughout our childhood experiences, in order to secure our attachment to our main caregivers (basic survival), we had to give up our authentic self. This is how the “false self” was created, which we often confuse for our personality. Our true wellbeing is dependent on reconnecting to our inner self, that inner place of wisdom, and living a life true to that.
